For the very first time, I will be participating in a readathon – it sounds like fun, so join if you’re interested 🙂
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 13 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
Bout of Books also has some fun challenges planned. And what could be more fun than a Bookish Survey?
1. How do you organize your shelves?
I mostly read on my iPad, so not much organization is involved. I do have a separate collection for my TBR pile.
2. What is one of your favorite book that’s not in one of your favorite genres?
#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso
I am not usually into reading non-fiction, but #GIRLBOSS is truly an inspiring book that will make every girl believe that she can get what she wants if she asks for it and works for it. I found Sophia Amoruso’s narrative very no-nonsense and strong, her story very enticing.
3. What is the last 5 star book you read?
Cold Days by Jim Butcher
4. What book are you most excited to read during the read-a-thon?
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
5. What book do you recommend the most?
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Outlander is a Historical novel with the capital “H” – meticulously researched, detailed and descriptive, which makes you helplessly fall in love with the 18th century Scotland, its culture and its people.
OH I really really have to read Outlander like NOW! Happy reading 🙂

Lately I’ve been seeing Jim Butcher everywhere. Maybe I should read something from him too.

I was not too keen on reading The Dresden Files, but a friend of mine insisted that I start and stick with the series, and it really does get better with every book. That is, of course, if you are a fan of Paranormal/Detective-type-of-books with intricate political plots and detailed descriptions of fights.

My roommate actually has The Dresden Files but she hasn’t yet read those. Maybe I’ll try those after her.

Oh, I’m enjoying the hell out of it 🙂
Don’t have much time, but it is surprising how many pages you can read while eating lunch or drinking your 3rd cup of coffee.
Hope you’re having lots of fun, as well! (:
